How To Create and Use SMS And Email Templates

July 31, 20241 min read

SMS and Email Templates are saved draft template communications that you can directly add into your workflow actions or one-time communications. This is useful if you often find yourself sending same or similar messages (and you don't want to utilize the Email Builder), as using the templates can save you time.

Step 1: How to Create an SMS or Email Template

  • Navigate to Marketing > Templates.

  • Select Add a Template

  • Choose SMS or Email Template.

  • Customize the template as you wish, and you'll see the preview on the right hand side of the screen.

  • Press "Save" to confirm your changes.

Step 2: Using Your New Template

To use your template in a Workflow:

  • Navigate to Automation then Workflows.

  • Open the workflow in which you want to use the template.

  • Create (or edit) the action that you wish to use the template in.

  • Select Your Template.

  • Save action.

To use your template in a conversation:

  • Navigate to Conversations.

  • Select the contact you wish to communicate with.

  • Select SMS or Email at the bottom of the middle pane.

  • Select your template and edit as necessary.

  • Send.

To use your template in a bulk action:

  • Navigate to Contacts.

  • Select the contact records the SMS or Email bulk action will apply for.

  • Choose the bulk action SMS or email icon.

  • Select your template and edit as necessary.

  • Send your bulk action.

Moe Ameen is a real estate investor, software creator, and general over-caffeinated human who somehow made automation cool (or at least tolerable). He built a cutting-edge real estate CRM because manually chasing leads is so last century. Specializing in creative finance, deal structuring, and making things unnecessarily efficient, he helps investors close more deals while doing less actual work. When he's not automating the real estate world, he’s probably pretending to work while staring at spreadsheets or convincing himself that buying another domain name is a good idea.
