How To Submit Mock Data for Forms and Surveys

Submitting mock data for your survey or form will allow you to test the form/survey and see how the information looks in the contact profile. Mock data for your survey or form is essential to understanding how the information flows. Follow these 5 simple steps to input mock data for survey or form completion.

Step 1: Creating the Form/Survey

  • Navigate to Form or Survey Builder and select the form/survey of your choice.

  • To access the enhanced Form or Survey Builder, navigate to Sites > Forms/Survey > Builder.

  • The left panel allows you to add standard and custom fields, providing flexibility in creating mock data scenarios. On the right, extensive style and design options are available.

  • Add the elements you need and style your form, then save. 

Step 2: Add the Form/Survey to your funnel

  • Go to the page editor where you want this form/survey to be

  • Add the right element

  • Click on the element, and edit your submit options as needed, then save.

Step 3: Submit Mock Data

  • Copy the funnel step URL and open it from an incognito window

  • Add your information to submit the form/survey

  • Once submitted, you will follow the route of the funnel or site

Step 4: See the results

  • Go to the Forms/Surveys - Submissions - Filter by the Forms/Surveys - Check your test
